Our mares breed in freedom, in the meadows and pastures of Soto del Real, in the National Park of the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid).
In EcoLactis, we warrantee the hygiene and animal wellness conditions thanks to a self-design that include a rigorous veterinary control that accredit milk production in tested sanitary conditions.
Milk production is seasonal, since mares only have milk during the breast feeding period of their foal and the capacity of their udders is limited.
In EcoLactis, we lyophilize mare’s milk to preserve its properties and to have availability to it during the whole year.
Freeze-drying or Lyophilization is a process of sublimation at low temperature, where the frozen water passes to vapor without passing through the liquid state, ensuring the preservation of the nutritional properties.
When dusted milk is obtained through heating, its biological value is damaged, the nutrient and vitamin chains break, losing part of its properties and natural compounds.
Our products have been certified with the Certificate of Ecological Production, issued by the Committee of Ecological Agriculture in Madrid (CAEM) and by the Catalan Council of Ecological Agricultural Production (CCPAE)
We have been awarded the Seal of Guarantee “ConSuma Naturalidad (Eat Naturalness)”, awarded by the Foundation Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente, and with the “M Producto Certificado (M Certified Product)”, of the Community of Madrid.
Our ecological livestok has the Certificate of Conformity No. MA0350 / P issued by the Committee of Ecological Agriculture in Madrid (CMEA ES- ECO -023 -MA), according to the Regulation EC 834/2007, EC 889/2008.
